As I mentioned in my last post, my instructor for General Bio seemed to be on some sort of power trip where my bladder is concerned. I did email the Dept Head and she emailed me in return 24 hours later.
Thanks for your email. I think I have taken care of the situation.
That was her entire reply. It was an appropriate reply. But I wanted more dirt and details. Oh, well. Hopefully this will be the end of the issue and I can now concentrate on cell bodies and structures. (ICK!)

I like her reply: Short, sweet, and to the point. Dirt and details would be nice, but unnecessary.
I wonder if a fair number students emailed her with a similar concern, and she just got tired of writing a longer response to everyone?
Her reply was very appropriate and professional. It would have been wrong to say, "I had 18 students complain about this and they do every year. I smacked her down."
But it would have been funny.
I love dirt and I get so disappointed when I am not privileged enough to receive it.
We'll have to make up our own version of what happened.
After she received your e-mail she marched down to the teachers office and told her that her students are not 5 years old and should be treated like the potty trained adults that they are. The teacher tried to object but she cut her off and said "No, this is the college's policy, you cannot prevent people from using the restroom!"
Is that juicy enough? Because it did strangely satisfy my craving for some dirt.
Yes, that works for me. Although it would have probably been over the phone, because the instructor is an adjunct and only teaches at the college part time. Her day job? At the local high school teaching bio to dual enrolled students.
Ok, high school, but the ones who are graduating with their Associate's Degrees, like BabyBoy's girlfriend, who has been at UF for one semester and is a Junior now. They should be allowed to use the restroom also.
