I must admit I have never gotten into the Harry Potter thing... I watched the movie and it was fun, but it had too many cliches (abusive step parents) and other problems...
Like I said in my review of the latest movie, they have taken everything out of the movies that make the characters lovable and human and all you are left with are some characatures (sp?) and some fancy special effects.
The first couple of books are a lot more kid friendly than the last few. A lot of people don't enjoy them, but I have and it has been something my son and I have enjoyed together since he has grown up with Harry.
Happily married 40something woman who started this 'blog to let the world know my thoughts on the horrors in this country. This 'blog has evolved into a way to record my thoughts and feelings on everything under the sun.
