Go Dennis

I am not pleased that Dennis Kucinch's effort to impeach Dick Cheney was sent to committee, therefore, stopping it in its tracks. I am certainly not pleased with any Democrats who voted in favor of sending it to committee. I am appalled by the White House's response*

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino criticized Democrats in Congress for
spending time on this debate rather than focusing on health care for children
and veterans.
"This Congress has not sent a single appropriations bill to the
president’s desk this year – a new record of failure," Perino said.
"Yet,
they find time to spend an entire work period on futile votes to impeach the
vice president or to pass contempt citations against the president’s chief of
staff and former counsel. It is this behavior that leaves the American people
shaking their head in wonder at this Congress,” Perino added.

Congress has focused on health care for children, dipshit Dubya vetoed it. And the only reason the votes were futile is because it didn't work.

*I wish I remembered the last time I wasn't appalled by the White House!

I hate PR that both sides try to do: blame one another for failures. If both sides spent half as much time trying to work together to solve problems instead of trying to "win" by stalling/killing/vetoing the other side's bills, imagine how much work would get done.

If it makes you feel any better, there are only 439 days remaining in the current administration's term.

shel, I don't think my brain can comprehend the amount of work that could get done if there were adults up there instead of 3 year olds.

And I appreciate the count you are keeping, but I am completely disapointed in Congress since the Dems took over. Dare I hope a new President will actually bring about change?

I used to THINK I was a cynic, now I KNOW I am.

Quote "Congress has focused on health care for children, dipshit Dubya vetoed it." From my point of view your overwhelming kindness to G.B. is amazing! The only good think about G.B. is that he is still alive and we don't have Cheney.

Every agency packed by Bushies is going crazy passing every right wing anti American law they can cram in before the end.
The Bush packed Labor Board has gone into overtime also. They are passing every law they can think of to break Unions before the next election.

nars, welcome! I appreciate the comments, especially about my "overwhelming kindness to G.B.". That made me laugh.

The rest of what you said? Not laughing, because I am sure you are correct.

I'm not sure...is this the most rotten pile of crap from the White House or only tied for second, third, one-thousandth, etc.?
